Longing for Healing by Theresa Johnson

Sharing the long journey towards healing and wholeness together.

My longing for healing

I’ve always longed for healing. It started with a childhood dream to become a doctor. However, I eventually discovered that wasn’t the path for me. And after more than a few unexpected twists and turns, I am now passionate about offering a different kind of healing as a pastor.

In addition, working towards healing and wholeness against injustices in the world is a passion. No one should face discrimination because of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. I abhor bad theology in the church that harms instead of heals. Therefore, my passion also includes creating communities that are truly safe places of healing and inclusion for everyone.

Finally, after getting Covid in 2022, my life drastically changed after developing long-Covid associated dysautonomia. So, my longing for healing now also includes a desperation for my own physical healing.

My hope is that this blog may be a safe place of encouragement for everyone who is longing for their own kind of healing, whatever that may be for you.
